Poros

Poros is a scenic coastal village on south-eastern Kefalonia, about 40 km from Argostoli, amphitheatrically built around a lush green hill that meets the crystal‑blue Ionian Sea. Its well-equipped port connects to mainland Greece (Kyllini) year-round and offers summer ferries to Ithaca and Zakynthos.

Two pebbly beaches line the town: one by the port with a lively square, the other a quieter cove ideal for relaxed swims.

Poros also serves as a gateway to natural attractions like the dramatic Vohinas Gorge, Drakaina Cave, the Monastery of Atros (1264 AD), and a nearby Mycenaean tomb. With waterfront tavernas, cafes, and cultural events, Poros offers both vibrant energy and serene beauty.
