Skala
Skala is a lively seaside village on Kefalonia’s south-eastern tip, rebuilt after the devastating 1953 earthquake. It transforms in summer into one of the island’s largest resorts, famed for its 3 km Blue Flag beach fringed by pine forests.
The waters are ideal for swimming, snorkelling, and boat trips to nearby coves or Ithaca. Explore ancient ruins like a 3rd-century Roman villa with mosaics and a 7th-century Temple of Apollo on the road to Poros.
In the evenings, the seafront buzzes with tavernas, bars, and relaxed strolls under the moonlit sky, blending natural beauty with vibrant island life.
